Types of Easter Eggs.

Totaka's Song

Totaka's song is a simple little 19-note melody made by Kazumi Totaka that he hid in all of the games that he worked on. Click on the SNES to find older versions of this little melody, from NES & Gameboy, to N64 and GBA. Click the Wii U to see newer versions of this song, from Gamecube and DS to Wii U to 3DS.

Secret Items

Usually easter eggs involve quests and items. Even if the item/easter egg has no purpose, or an awesome ally, it's still something that is really awesome to get. Sometimes you have to insert a code to get this item, like the Konami Code. (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, start)

Little Quotes

This is more of a refrence than an easter egg. If someone gives you a special item and says "It's dangerous to go alone. Take this", it's a little nod to Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda.

Cameos

It's pretty cool to have a character peek into other character's games, but who knew that'd make Mario all the more famous. He had appeared in F-1 Racing, Kirby Super Star, The Legend of Zelda; A Link to the Past, and even Donkey Kong 2!

Debuging?!

This is just a way to mess with the game's code to add things to annoy, help or just be weird to the player. For example, in Minecraft PC Edition, if you hold Shift while choosing world options, you will come into a world with every known block in existance.
